Virginia M Andre

Virginia M. Andre age 99, passed away at her home in Cambridge on Thursday, September 8, 2016. She was born in Wilsonville, NE on October 23, 1916 to Guy and Pearl) Johnson) Lyons. Virginia attended and graduated from Wilsonville High School in 1933.

She was untied in marriage to David Andre on October 7, 1934 in Holdrege and he preceded her in death in February 1995. Virginia taught school for a short period. She was later hired by the U.S. Postal service and worked her way to Postmistress of Wilsonville. She retired at age 75.

She was a member of the Eastern Star, and the Double 8s Club. Virginia enjoyed dancing, playing cards and fishing. She loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; David; daughter: Susan Perdue; grandson: Mike Perdue; sister: Florence and husband Wayne Bickel.

Virginia Leaves to mourn her passing: daughter: Sherry and husband Dan Becker of Rockledge, FL; 2 sons: Jan and wife Lori Andre of Boise, ID; Don and wife Sheila Andre of Lincoln, NE; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at the Baptist-Christian Church in Wilsonville, NE at 10:00 AM with Keith Theobald officiating. Interment will be in the Wilsonville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday at the Lockenour-Jones Mortuary in Cambridge from 10:00 till 7:00 PM Memorials may be left in Virginias name to the Wilsonville Cemetery.
