Vicki Ann Courange

Vicki Ann Courange was born on April 20, 1955 at St. Catherine’s Hospital in McCook, Nebraska to Victor August Courange and Sharolyn Joan (Bales) Hornkohl. Vicki graduated from Paramount High School in Paramount, California with the class of 1973. Later in life, she would continue her education, attending McCook Community College in 2002.

Vicki worked at Wendy’s, Arby’s, the McCook Housing Authority and Schmick’s Market. She retired after many years at Schmick’s. Her hobbies included sewing, reading and collecting frogs. Vicki also loved watching the Los Angeles Angels baseball team.

Vicki passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 28, 2025 at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook. She was 69 years of age.

Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, Victor Courange and Cecil Hornkohl; grandparents, Clarence and Polly Bales and Joe and Mary Courange; and a sister-in-law, Shar Courange.

Survivors include her mother, Sharolyn Hornkohl of McCook; daughter, Rebekah Courange of McCook; grandchildren, Paige Wolcott and Berkley Wolcott; brothers and sisters: Mark and Jill Courange of Redding, CA, Tom and Jolinda Courange of Ontario, CA, Rick Courange of Tempe, AZ and Michelle and Kurt Proud of Bartley, NE; she is also survived by multiple nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cremation was chosen and services are being planned for a later date.
