Todd Eugene Miller was born September 20, 1967 to Boyd Delane Miller and Barbara (Minary) Miller in Cambridge, NE. Todd passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in his home in Culbertson at the age of 49 years. He was the third of four children. Todd grew up in Culbertson and also in Brush, CO where he was a member of the Brush High School State Championship football squad for all three years. He came back to Culbertson in 1985. He left to work in construction in Colorado Springs, CO, but returned to his life-long home of Culbertson and his state of Nebraska. Todd met and married Kellie Tomlinson of Beaver City, NE in 1988. Upon this union, Shane Michael Miller was born in 1989. He married Teri Mickelsen in 2000. Two sons were born from this union, William and Robert Miller. A divorce occurred but a renewal of their love after a separation added another son Blake Devitt, whom Todd raised as his own son. Todds real passion in life was horseshoe competitions with his brother, Travis, and father, Boyd. Todd was very athletic in his youth, excelling first in baseball, then football. Todd loved hunting and fishing with his sons. He was a Journeyman Mason by trade but also worked for Kuglers upon returning to Culbertson. In his early years he worked for Union Pacific as an engineer in North Platte, NE. Preceding him in death was his son, Shane Michael Miller in 2005 due to an automobile accident; grandparents, Halcyon (Lutes) and Lloyd Miller and Percy and Dorothy (Wallace) Minary; father, Boyd Miller; step-father, Melvin Masur; uncles, Jarol and Jesse Miller; and brother-in-law, Dale E. Emhovick. Survivors include his sons, William, Robert and Blake of Culbertson; mother, Barbara Miller Masur of Culbertson; step-mother, Nancy Miller Ruppert of Culbertson; sisters, Cheryl Miller of Kearney and Diane Emhovick of Sutherland; brother, Travis Miller and wife, Brenda (Hrnchir) of Culbertson; step-brother, Rob Manary and wife, Mardell of North Platte; step-sister, Myndi Schumer of North Platte; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. Memorials may be given in his name. Memorial service will be Friday, August 25, 2017, 2:00 p.m. at Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel with Joe Kotschwar officiating.
