Timothy Thomas Tillotson

Timothy Tim T. Tillotson, age 67, of Wilsonville, Ne died at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Thursday, December 29, 2011. He was born on September 3, 1944, in Woburn, Massachusetts, to Clyde L. and Pauline V. Eliker. Tim moved to Wilsonville with his mother at the age of 6 month. Tim went to elementary school in Wilsonville. Tims step father Leonard Francis was a minor and moved often with the family. Tim lived in Utah, Colorado and the family settled again in Wilsonville in 1961. On May 15, 1964, Tim was united in marriage to Sharon Vise in Wilsonville. Tim farmed for a while, later began driving a semi as an over the road trucker. He worked for Keith Mowry and John Friese. In 1981, Tim opened and ran an auto repair shop in Wilsonville until his retirement. Tim was active in the Wilsonville community. He joined the Wilsonville Fire Department in 1970 and served many years as fire chief. He was on the Furnas County 911 Board, Southwest Nebraska Red Cross Board, and the Wilsonville Village Board. Tim was an avid follower and spectator of all types of auto racing. He enjoyed a good card game and always enjoyed shooting pool. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, step-father: Leonard Francis; and a brother: Robert Francis. Tim is survived by his wife Sharon of Wilsonville, NE; 1 son: Dayne and wife Lisa Tillotson of Holdrege, NE; 1 daughter: Sarah Renner of McCook, NE; 5 grandchildren; 2 brothers: David Tillotson of Bauman, OK; Chester Francis of Wilsonville, NE; 4 sisters: Delores Dottie French of Longmont, CO; Mary Karash of Venango, NE; Lenora Schilz of OR and Judy Elwood of Oberlin, KS. Memorial services will be held on January 21, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Wilsonville Baptist-Christian Church with Keith Theobald officiating. A private family inurnment is being planned. Memorials may be left in Tims name at the Lockenour-Jones Mortuary.
