Thomas Henry Charley

     Thomas Henry Charley was born on October 28, 1950, in Dallas, Texas to Billie Rae Fulbright and Charles Samuel Charley.

     Thomas graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in Houston, Texas in 1968. Two years later, Thomas joined the United States Airforce and served from January 7, 1970, through June 11, 1973.

     On August 14, 1970, he was united in marriage to Linda Lou at Saint Joseph, Michigan. To this marriage a daughter, Bonnie, was adopted.

     Thomas was raised near Houston, Texas. After serving his country in the United States Air Force, he lived in Kankakee, Illinois, where he met Linda Lou Eisenhour. After getting married, they moved to Abeline, Texas, then back to Illinois in the Bradley area before setting in Hayes Center, Nebraska and finally McCook, Nebraska.

     Thomas worked as a truck driver from the 1970’s through September 2001. His hobbies included being a mechanic, playing chess, watching and coaching his grandkids’ sports, watching crime dramas and he loved good music.

     He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lou Charley and his brother, Ray Fulbright.

     Thomas is survived by his daughter, Katherine Charley; grandchildren, Cristoffer and Talia Charley, Lorie and Zack Cook and Randy Charley; great-grandchildren, Christian Mayhugh, Cristoffer Charley and Jace and Jaqueline Cook and sisters, Charlene and Cindy Charley.

     Cremation was chosen and a service for Thomas Charley was held at Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, Nebraska on September 28, 2026 at 1:00 PM.
