Terry Dean Schleeman

Terry Dean Schleeman, age 75, of McCook, passed away at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook, April 13, 2021. He was born in McCook on May 25, 1945, to George J. and Wilma E. (Ahrens) Schleeman. Terry attended school in McCook. On February 2, 1970, he was married to Sonya Sylvester and to this union one son was born, George Dean. Terry was married to Gwen and to this union a son, Brent, was born. Terry lived in southwest Nebraska all his life. He was employed throughout the years as a truck driver for Romanoffs, Nebraska Bi-Products and Tri-State Bi-Products. Terry enjoyed family times. During the summer months and fall, Terry could be found fishing at the Diversion Dam or park in Cambridge. He played pool and was always up for a game of pitch. He spent many hours at Fullers Restaurant and joking with all within earshot. Due to health concerns, Terry moved from his home to the Cambridge Manor and later in 2019 to Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Wilma; son, Brent; great grandson, Phoenix; infant brothers, Alfred, Robert and Albert; brothers, Herman and twin, Ted; sisters, Donna Drews, Patricia Kotschwar, Georgia Longley and Raymounda Koons. Terry is survived by his son, George (Tammy) Schleeman of Elwood; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister, Sharon (Beryl) Gummere of Stratton; special niece, Cindy Schaible of St. Paul, NE and many other family members and friends. In keeping with Terrys wishes of cremation a private family inurnment will take place at the Memorial Park Cemetery of McCook. Friends may leave on-line condolences at herrmannfh.com.
