Terry Lee Roland

Terry Lee Roland, age 58, of McCook, NE passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Kearney Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family. A private family Memorial Service will be held Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel with Pastor Steve Bales officiating. Terry was born March 30, 1960 in Hannibal, MO to Bob and Anna (Ellis) Roland. On June 27, 1987 Terry married Karen Boerger. Together they had three children. Terry worked for BNSF Railroad for almost 40 years in a variety of crafts. He was currently a Signal Safety Assistant. Terry loved family, boating activities, hunting and cooking (much to his wifes relief). He could get an idea in his head and make something out of nothing. Terry loved a good party and, in his day, could hang with the best of them. He was the best time of Karens life. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Ann Roland; his brothers, Larry and David Roland; and brother-in-law, Danny Charlton. He is survived by his wife, Karen, of 30 years; son, Wyatt; son, Cody and wife, Megan; daughter, Jesselyn; brother, Jim Roland and wife, Kathy; sister, Paula Charlton; Bobbi (Roland) Minks and husband, Charlie; four nieces, three nephews, and a host of extended family and friends. The family requests memorials be given in Terrys name for his daughters education. There will be a celebration of Life (Terry style!) at Paul Blumes building (around the corner of 320 N 6th Street, Indianola) Friday, April 13, 2018, starting at 12:00 p.m. for anyone who cared about Terry.
