Terry Otis Paisley

Terry Otis Paisley, 67, died July 21, 2015, at his home in Cambridge, Nebraska.

At his families request a funeral service will be held at the Cambridge Calvary Baptist Church, Saturday July 25th at 11:00 AM.

Terry was born July 26, 1948 in Cambridge, NE, to Dean and Clara (Moore) Paisley.

Terry enjoyed his family, the outdoors, athletics and serving the community of Cambridge. Terry married his high school sweetheart, Marjorie (Burke) on June 27, 1970. Terry and Marge lived for the first few years of their marriage in McCook, NE where Terry began what would become a 25-year career as a grocer at Hinky Dinky. In 1979 the Paisley family moved back to Cambridge. After becoming physically disabled, Terry began delivering what would become thousands of newspapers to the citizens of Cambridge from three different publications the Omaha World Herald, the Lincoln Journal Star, and the McCook Gazette. He also sold apparel to local merchants for Production Creek.

Terry loved the outdoors and athletics. From a young age he was widely known as an avid fisherman and hunter. His greatest joy was his association and participation in local athletics and mulling over the latest news of his beloved Trojans and Cornhuskers. He also coordinated meals for long distance opposing teams and helped supply countless meals and drinks to the local sports teams. He also enjoyed serving as the president for the local Meals on Wheels committee.

Terry accepted the Lord as his Savior and was later baptized at Calvary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Marge, and his children Troy & Beth (Wahoo), Chris & Gloria (Cambridge), Charity & Luke (McCook), Jonathan & fianc Hannah (Arvada), Daniel & Jessica (Cambridge) and thirteen grandchildren.

Memorials can be given to the sports programs at the Cambridge High School. Cards and condolences may be sent to 510 Dolan Ave. Cambridge, NE 69022.
