Steven Neal Richards

Steven Neal Richards passed away at his home in Lincoln on Wednesday, July 27, 2016. He was 62 years old. Steve was born on December 19, 1953 in McCook to parents Harlan Arthur and Francis Evelyn (Kincaid) Richards. Steve lived in Curtis and Hastings before moving to Tucson, Arizona in his early years. He graduated from High School in Tucson. He moved to Grand Island, then to McCook, and eventually made his home in Lincoln. Fishing and being with his family brought Steve so much enjoyment and love. He was an encyclopedia when it came to family history. Steve never knew a stranger. Preceding him in death were his parents, Harlan and Evelyn Richards. Survivors include his brothers, Larry Richards and wife, Linda, of McCook and Ron Richards and wife, Candace, of Brule; sisters, Deanna Lehl of Des Moines, IA and Shirley Morris of Omaha; aunt, Donna Sensel of Culbertson; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to charity of choice. Memorial services will be Thursday, August 4, 2016, 1:00 p.m. at Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook, Nebraska with Pastor Dale Heimer officiating. Inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
