Stephen 'Steve' Clark

Stephen "Steve" Clark, age 72, of McCook, passed away at his home on July 17, 2022, surrounded by family. He was born in McCook on February 11, 1950, to William "Bill" G. and Glora P. (Scott) Clark. Steve attended and graduated from McCook High School in 1968. He then attended Kearney State College for a brief time. Steve married Renalle Schafer on July 28, 1973. To this union two daughters were born, Heather (Clark) Myers and Tiffany (Clark) Sund. On June 23, 2005, Steve married the love of his life, Sharon Horner. The couple made their home in McCook. Steve was employed at the Pizza Hut of Holdrege, Ranchers Building Supplies, Southwest Implement and retired from the Republican River Valley Event Center/ Kelley Creek Pub in December of 2014. In his spare time Steve enjoyed hunting deer, pheasant, and turkey. He also enjoyed fishing and played pool for 17 years. He and Sharon made many trips to Las Vegas when Steve won local pool tournaments. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Glora. Steve is survived by his loving wife, Sharon of McCook; daughters, Heather (Shane) Myers of Elkhorn, NE; Tiffany (Jeremie) Sund of Elkhorn, NE; Ann (Gene) Theodori of Huntsville, TX; and Michelle (Cody) Ervin of Bartley, NE; he is also survived by numerous grandchildren and a host of friends. Steve chose cremation. A Memorial Service will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church in McCook at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, with Pastor Lisa Mensinger officiating. Friends may leave online condolences at herrmannfh.com. Memorials may be left in Steve's name at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel. A gathering of friends will take place at TJs Fun Center after the Memorial Service. Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
