Stacy Dee Sellers

Stacy D. Sellers went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 29, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 50 years old. Stacy was born on April 5, 1966 to Jerry W. and G. Dee (Haggard) Arneson in Red Cloud, Nebraska. At the age of five, she and her mother moved to Lincoln where she started school and graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School. While attending high school, she played clarinet in the marching band. After graduating, Stacy moved to McCook and attended McCook Community College. She met and married Dave Barenberg; they were then blessed with their daughter Danielle. Stacy married Paul Sellers on May 22, 1998 and with this union, she gained three additional children. Stacy enjoyed her position as a para at Central Elementary. This job was extremely gratifying and she very much enjoyed working with the teachers and students. Stacy was a long time member of Peace Lutheran Church in McCook and was involved in numerous committees. Stacy is proceeded in death by her father, Jerry Arneson; brother, Joel Arneson; father-in-law, Lawrence (Mutt) Sellers; brother-in-law, Jim Kummer; niece, Stacy Sellers; and maternal and paternal grandparents. Survivors include her husband, Paul Sellers of McCook; daughter, Danielle and fianc Dylan Schumacher of Waverly; mother, Dee Carsten of Denver, CO; mother-in-law, Esther Sellers of Maywood; step-children, Matt and Deanna Sellers of McCook, Kelsey and Dustin Vakiner of Central City and Mitch Sellers and Marya Lozaw of Springfield, MO; in-laws, Wayne and Colleen Sellers of Curtis, Lynn and Lindy Sellers (Inman), Sharon Kummer of McCook and Bruce Sellers of Fort Collins, CO; step-siblings, Mike and Angie McDonald of Omaha and Jim Carsten of Thornton, CO; 10 grandchildren; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Memorials may be given in her name. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 2, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family present from 6:00-8:00 p.m. to greet friends. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.herrmannfh.com Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, McCook, Nebraska with Pastor Tom Albertson officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel of McCook is in charge of the arrangement. Visitation
