Shirley Lou Mousel

Shirley Lou Mousel, age 77 of Cambridge passed away at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Monday June 8, 2015. She was born in Goodland, Kansas on November 4, 1937 to Richard and Violet (Rintermann) Musil. The family moved to Cambridge where Shirley graduated from Cambridge High School in 1955.

On June 16, 1957, she was united in marriage to Wendell William "Bill" Mousel. The couple farmed and raised cattle. Shirley was employed by the State Bank of Cambridge at age 16, later she worked for the REA and the Cambridge Hospital, before returning to the Cambridge State Bank. In 1990 Shirley and Bill moved to Fort Collins, Colorado , where she worked as a Branch Manager for World Savings/Wells Fargo. In 1997, they moved to Kansas City where Shirley continued working for World Savings/Wells Fargo as an administrator for the Mortgage Department. Shirley and Bill returned to Nebraska in 2007 and retired.

Shirley was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Circle, The Order of Eastern Star, Dorcas Chapter of Bartley. She enjoyed quilting, board games, reading, cats and especially her grandchildren and great grand daughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law: Ronald Mousel.

Shirley is survived by her husband: Bill of Cambridge; 2 daughters: Rebecca Ann Mousel of Minden; Susan Dianne and husband Troy Bridge of Frisco, TX; 2 sons: Michael Todd Mousel of Cambridge; William Troy Mousel of Thornton, CO; 7 grand children: Madison Lea Mousel; Mason Wendell Mousel; Kortney Rae Mousel; Trey Michael Mousel; Riley Elizabeth Bridge; Gavin Troy Mousel; William Alexander Bridge; 1 great granddaughter: Kynlea Marie Dack; 1 sister: Marcia and husband Charles Druse of Cambridge; 1 brother: Gordon and wife Sylvia Musil of Gothenburg; sister-in-law: Nancy Mousel of McCook. She also leaves behind faithful and fury friend: Mittens. As well as numerous relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Trinity United Methodist church on Friday, June 12, 2015 at 10:30 with Pastor Jeff Wulf officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery of Cambridge. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2015 from 9;00 AM till 7:00 PM. (Casket will be closed and no viewing at the church.)
