Shaun Alan Cox

     Shaun Alan Cox was born on December 3, 1990, in McCook, Nebraska to Letha (Golbek) and Cloyd Cox.

     Shaun graduated from McCook High School in 2012. After graduating he worked at Southwest Area Training Service (SWATS) and Hands of Heartland.

     His hobbies included fishing, diamond art, making coasters with plastic canvas, playing video games, watching YouTube videos and listening to music.

     Shaun is preceded in death by his brother, Mathew Cox; cousin, Cassandra Cox; grandparents, Stan and Rochelle Cox and Geraldine Golbek and uncle, Robert Smith.

     Shaun is survived by his parents, Letha and Cloyd Cox; significant other, Lea Perry; grandparents, Gerald and Miriam Golbek; sister, Jennifer Cox; Louis Butler, Glenn and Liz Taylor, Anna and Wes Gilland; nieces and nephews, Chloe Johnson, Mason Wilcox, Chance Wilcox, Shelby Butler, Steven Taylor, Matthew Taylor, Daphne Degener; aunts and uncles, Ernestine, Kevin and Pam Cox and cousins, Adam Smith, Bryan Cox and Lauren Marsh, Bradley and Rena Cox and extended family and friends.

     Visitation for Shaun Cox will be held from 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM of Thursday, August 27, 2026. Shaun's family will greet friends from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM.

     Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Friday afternoon, August 28, 2026, at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chaple in McCook. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery of McCook will follow services.
