Sharon Louise Johnson

Sharon Louise Johnson received her Christmas wish and joined Aaron on December 25, 2018 when she passed away at Brookdale Assisted Living in McCook. She was 77 years old. Sharon was born August 10, 1941, in Stratton, NE to Ray Emmett and Beulah Irene (Weist) Tennant. She graduated from McCook High school in 1959. On January 17, 1960, she was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Aaron Lee Johnson in McCook. They celebrated 50 years of marriage before Aarons passing in April of 2010. They made their home in McCook where Sharon worked at Montgomery Wards and Burns Lab while being a wonderful Mother to their three children. While Aaron was alive, they spent many years attending black powder shoots and telling campfires stories for hours. Sharon enjoyed a life filled with fishing and camping with her closest of friends and always looked forward to seeing just how many fish they could catch in a single day. She recently had the time of her life traveling to Belize and Yellowstone with the "Fab 5" who were her dearest of friends for years. She adored her grandchildren and great- grandchildren and loved showing friends just how proud she was of each one. Her dog, Cooper, became her faithful campion and was by her side as she made her way to Heaven. She was proceeded in death by her parents; husband, Aaron and grandson, Joshua Luckie. She is survived by daughter Kris Cook and husband, Rick, of Culbertson, NE, son Kent Johnson and wife, Michelle, of Lenexa, KS and daughter Kyla Luckie and husband, Doug, of Elkhorn, NE; brother, Gene Tennant and wife, Betty, of Kearney, NE; grandchildren, Bryce (Stacy) Cook, Alyssa (Chris) Grant, Mason Johnson, Mackenzie (Alex) Wreath, Danielle (Tyrelle) Campbell and Ty (fianc Stephanie) Luckie. Great-grandchildren, Avery Grant, Cruz and Isaiah Campbell. Memorials may be given in her name to Grace Baptist Church. Visitation will be Friday, December 28, 2018 at Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook. They family will be present from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. to greet friends.
