Sandra Lee Harlan

Sandra L. Harlan of McCook age 77, passed away at the El Dorado Nursing Home in Trenton on February 3, 2015. She was born in Ft. Smith, Arkansas to Milton and Marjory (Hankins) Furr. Her family moved to the Sacramento, California area when she was a child. She graduated from Grant Union High School in Sacramento then attended the San Juan Community College for 2 years studying Business. Sandra was married to Fred Grimes and to this union two sons were born: Charles and Kenneth. On March 31, 1984 she was married to David Harlan in Reno, Nevada. Sandra was employed as a maid for the Forbes family and continued to live in California until retirement in1995, when she and David moved to Colorado. The couple bought a home in McCook in 2002. Sandra was baptized and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints in McCook. She enjoyed working cross word puzzles, and was an avid reader. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents and son: Kenneth Survivors include her husband David of McCook; son Charles and wife Kelly of Parker, Colorado; 3 grandchildren; sister: Shirley Drumm of Bridgeport, Connecticut. Memorial services are being planned for March 28, 2015 at the Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook. Friends may leave on-line condolences at herrmann.fh
