Ryan James Scott

Ryan James Scott passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019 at his home in North Platte, NE. He was 30 years old. Ryan was born on February 27, 1988, at McCook, NE to Richard Allen Scott and Susan Marie Lambert. Ryan was baptized as an infant at St. Patricks Catholic Church. He graduated from McCook High School with the class of 2007. Ryan loved writing and poetry, playing pool, shooting guns with his father, cooking with his mother, and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Dustin Scott; maternal grandfather, Clifford Dale Lambert; paternal grandparents, Wallace and Alice Scott; and uncles, Robert "Bobby" Scott and Rodney Scott. Survivors include his mother, Susan Dishman of McCook; father, Richard Scott and step-mother, Rose, of McCook; brothers, Aaron (Francesca) Scott of Rio Rancho, NM and Darrell Scott of McCook; maternal grandmother, Dorothy Lambert of McCook; maternal uncles, Jim (Carolyn) Lambert of Crystal Lake, MN, Roger (Roberta) Lambert of Atwood, KS, and Terry Lambert of Camino Island, WA; paternal uncle, Larry Scott of Forsyth, MO; paternal aunt, Donna (Jenny Allenbough) Scott of Hayes, KS; nephew, Ethan William Scott; niece, Olivia Agnes Scott; numerous cousins and a host of friends. Memorials may be given in his name. Visitation will be Thursday, January 10, 2019, at Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel, McCook, from 10:00 a.m. 7:00 p.m. with family present to greet friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be Friday, January 11, 2019, 10:30 a.m., at Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel with Father Gary Brethour officiating.
