Roy Nealeigh Cole

Roy Nealeigh Cole, age 83, of Trenton died at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney on Tuesday June 25, 2013. He was born south of Trenton, NE on October 22, 1929 to Jasper and Blanche (Nealeigh) Cole. He graduated from Trenton School in 1947. On June 18, 1949 he was united in marriage to Carrie Helena Baker. The couple celebrated 64 years of marriage this month. Roy was employed by the Burlington Northern Railroad for over 43 years. Roy farmed northwest of Trenton 13 miles. He enjoyed hunting with family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister: Gladys and husband William Bud Cemer; a brother Elbert C. Cole and a son: Donald R. Cole Nov 3, 1985, Brother-in-laws: Willis Faith and Carl Lewis. Roy is survived by his wife: C. Helena of Trenton; son: Leonard and wife Alberta Cole of Palisade, NE; 9 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren 3 sisters: Lilly Faith of Torrington, WY; Veda Lewis of Trenton; Louise and husband Dan Perez of Bloomfield, CO: sister-in-law; Virginia McCashland. Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 29, 2013 at 10:30 at the Church of God in Trenton with Terry McCorkle officiating. Interment will be in the Trenton Cemetery. Memorials maybe left in Roys name to the Trenton Ambulance Squad. Visitation will be on Wednesday evening, Thursday and Friday at the Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in Trenton.
