RoseAnn Marie (Pitner) Reagan of Stratton passed into Glory on July 5th, 2019. She was born Sept 25th, 1919 in Atwood, KS to James August Pitner & Anna (Stehno) Pitner. She married Edward Willard Reagan at Stratton, NE on Aug 21st, 1947 and lived and farmed on the Reagan Family Farm until they retired in 1979. She is preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother; two sisters, Mary (Pitner) OBrian & Vlasta (Pitner) Purvis; three brothers, Will J. Pitner, Albert F. Pitner, and Ralph A. Pitner; husband, Edward Willard Reagan; and adopted son Gary Kenneally Reagan. She is survived by her son James Arnold Reagan and adopted son Ronald Kenneally Reagan (spouse Tina); grandchildren, Jeff Reagan, Angela (Reagan) Cotton, H. Alexis (Reagan) Windecker, Ian James Reagan, Sheina Rose Reagan, six great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family. RoseAnn lived most of her life in the Stratton area, taught country school after graduation for four years, moved to Grand Island in 42 and supported herself through business school by playing Piano at a dance school. She then moved to McCook and worked at a Doctors Office for two years before moving back to Stratton to help her parents where she was reacquainted with and married Edward Reagan in 1947. She was a past member of St. Josephs Catholic Church of Stratton and served as the church organist for many years. Throughout her years she was one of Strattons and the surrounding areas pianist/organist. She played and sang for numerous Church, School, Private, & Community activities. She loved the beauty of the outdoors and was an avid birdwatcher and gardener. Her interest and participation in music was sustained throughout her life and brought her much pleasure and many friends. A footnote: a large portion of this obituary was handwritten by RoseAnn herself on 2/9/93. Memorials may be given in her name to Stratton Community Foundation Fund. A 100th year Birthday Celebration had been planned for RoseAnn. It will now be held as a Celebration of her life, at the VM Hall in Stratton, NE on September 22nd, 2019 at 2:00 pm.
