Roger Lee Scott passed away Sept.20,2017 at the age of 61. at Tri Valley hospital in Cambridge, Nebraska. Roger was born to Raymond and Melva Maxine (Hunter) Scott on August 15,1956 in Hill City, Kansas. Being one of eight children.
Roger loved farming while he lived in Kansas. He worked for the neighbor for about 30 years before moving to Nebraska. Roger worked for Ag Valley Coop for several years. He left that job and worked for Crawford Trucking before retiring, due to his failing health. Roger was not one to miss out on the farming scene. Whether it was working on the farm or working with the crops and livestock produced on farms. He was always in the middle of working with cattle. Especially when branding season came around. If someone needed him for some reason, all you had to do was look for dust flying in the air. Whether it was from him working in the field or working cattle. He was always close to that dust cloud. Roger made many, many friends since he moved to Nebraska. He was well liked by all that met him.
Roger is proceeded in death by his parents, Raymond and Maxine. One brother James and one sister. Barbara Ann Scott (Dunn).
Roger loved his family. He leaves to mourn two sisters. Dorothy Scott, Holbrook, Nebraska, Gail Martin and husband, Melvin of El Dorado, Arkansas and two brothers. Mike and wife Linda Scott of Marcus, South Dakota, and Ron and wife Brenda Scott of Russell, Kansas. A host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. And an even bigger host of cousins.
Memorial services and graveside services will be held later. Memorial may be left in Rogers name at the Lockenour Jones Mortuary. Friends may leave on-line condolences at ockenour.com
