Robert Allen "Bob" Yost age 70 formerly of McCook passed away at home in Imperial, NE on August 8, 2018. He was born in Estherville, Iowa on May 13, 1948 to Ted and Vivian (Tuttle) Yost. He attended school in Estherville before entering the U.S. Marine Corps in 1965. Robert was deployed to Viet Nam where he earned a Purple Heart for wounds during the Tet Offensive. He later reenlisted in the U.S. Army and was Discharged in 1971. Robert was united in marriage to Alice Jamieson at Douglas, WY on September 9, 1974. Alice preceded him in death on March 29, 2018. The couple moved to McCook in 1979. Robert worked as a general contractor working many projects though out McCook. He enjoyed painting on canvas, woodworking, sewing, handy work. Robert was active in black powder shooting and Rendezvous. He played in the McCook Pool League. He enjoyed giving his opinions to Rich Barnett on open-line. Robert did return to school at McCook Community College and received an Associate of Arts degree in Art. He was preceded in death by his parents Ted and Vivian; wife; Alice and aunts; uncle and cousins. Robert is survived by two daughters, Amanda and husband, John Keneipp, of Imperial and Misty and husband, Michael Muehlhausen, of McCook; three grandchildren, Izabella, Nathaniel and Quinton; brother: John Brown of Indianola. NE: 2 half-brothers will be at the September 7, 2018 at 10:30 AM with Pastor Steve Bales officiating. Inurnment will be in the Ft. McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell at the September 7, 2018 at 9:00 AM with Pastor Steve Bales officiating. Military Honors will performed by the Marine Honor Guard.
