Robert Joseph Sumner

Robert J Sumner JR age 68 of Cambridge, passed away at his home on October 23, 2019. He was born April 15, 1951 in North Adams, MA to Robert Sr. and Shirley (Perras) Sumner.

Robert enlisted in the Army in 1972 and was Honorable Discharge in 1976

He was married Karen Depuy on July 16, 1988 in North Adams, MA. The couple moved to Nebraska three years ago from Delaware. Robert enjoy putting puzzles together and fishing. Robert was a loving husband and father and grandfather. He was employed for many years as a mechanic, but later in life worked as a carpenter

He was preceded in death by his mother: Shirley; 2 brothers: Ricky and Gary. His favorite Chiwawa companion of 14 years "Buddy" the dog.

Robert is survived by his wife Karen of Cambridge, NE; sons: Robert Sumner III of Cambridge; Lester Mansfield of Delaware; Michael Mansfield of Texas; daughter: Mikalla Sumner of Delaware; 12 grandchildren; father: Robert of North Adams, MA; Ed and wife Barbara Sumner of Wichita, KS; David of MA; sisters: Rose and husband John Stokes of Hoosac Falls, NY; Bernadette Burdick of MA; Michelle of MA; Jane Teatreau of Adams, MA; Lori Brewer of MA: Brenda Burlington of TN.
