Robert K. Cox

Robert K. Cox age 90 died at the Great Plains Medical Center on Thursday, June 20, 2013. Her was born in Hemingford, NE on May 12, 1923 to Russell and Opal Cox. Bob graduated from Mitchell High School in 1940. On Sept 20, 1941 he was married to Velma Polk she preceded him in death in 1999. In April of 1944 he entered the US Navy serving till January 1946. He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge, the American Legion and the VFW. He was married to Marlene (Thebault) Reitz on March 23, 2001. Bob was employed as a freight office manager for the railroad, later he worked 10 years as a custodian for the McCook Community College. Funeral services will be held on July 1, 2013 at10:00 AM at the Untied Methodist Church in McCook with interment at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery at 3:00 PM Alisa Parde is officiating the services. Memorials may be left to the McCook Community College in Bob's name.
