Richard Lee Terrell

Richard Lee Terrell passed away suddenly November 27, 2017 at San Antonio, TX. He was 69 years old. Rich was born on January 27, 1948, at Portland, OR to parents, Arlington and Lela (Boyd) Terrell. As a child the family moved to Trenton where Rich graduated from High School. He continued his education at Kearney State College receiving his Masters in Business Administration. On February 20, 1967 he entered the US Army and was stationed in Germany during the Viet Nam War. He was honorably discharged on February 19, 1973. Rich farmed near Trenton for several years before becoming a Nursing Home Administrator both in Nebraska and California. On May 28, 2011, he was united in marriage to Joan Kathleen Roman at Las Vegas, NV. The couple lived in Lancaster, CA. He retired in 2015, and the couple moved to San Antonio. Richs interests included gardening, theatre, and was a member of the Friends in Harmony Barbershop Choir. Preceding him in death were his parents, Arlington and Lela Terrell. Survivors include his wife, Joan Terrell of Boerne, TX; sister, Susan Craw and husband, Ron, of Stratton; brother, Mike Terrell and wife, Leslie, of Tehachapi, CA; children, Anne Marie (William) Frerichs, Joshua Terrell and Jacob Terrell all of Lincoln; step-daughter, Becky (Marc) Montez; step-son, Adam Roman; two grandchildren and one step-granddaughter. Graveside services will be Saturday, December 16, 2017, 2:00 p.m. at the Trenton Cemetery, Trenton, Nebraska with Pastor Rod Heilbrun officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his name to the Community United Methodist Church, PO Box 206, Stratton, NE 69043 Services entrusted to Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel of McCook.
