Phyllis Marie Pfeffer

Phyllis M. Pfeffer age89 of McCook passed away at her home on January 23, 2015. She was born in Palisade, NE on July 12, 1925 to Bruce and Nina (Smith) Carse. She attended and graduated from Palisade High School in 1943. Phyllis married John Pfeffer on Nov 18, 1945 in Denver, Colorado. John preceded her in death in February 1982. Phyllis and John resided in McCook, during this time she was employed as a hostess at the Fireside, TRW and at the last as a driver to pick-up film for Fugi Film Developers. Her route was almost 300 mile round trip. Phyllis enjoyed her yard, especially trees and flowers. She liked to bird watch. Phyllis was an excellent seamstress, making many articles of clothing. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, husband John and 2 brothers: Darrol Jack Carse and Leon Carse. She is survived by her son: David and wife Judy of McCook; grandchildren: Shannon and husband Micheal Hinson of McCook; Jana and husband Kirt Messinger of Columbus, OH; Justin and wife Karri Cumming of Amherst; 8 great -grandchildren: Dylan Beaumont; Devin Flaherty; David Hinson; Noah Hinson; Megan Hinson; Carissa Bishop; Ty and Reese Cumming. Funeral services will be held at the Herrmann-Jones Funeral on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Richard Karr officiating.
