Patsie Lee Wood

The Lord came for Patsie Lee (Owens) Wood, 78, August 04, 2015. She passed with her loving husband at her side at Cambridge Memorial Hospital in Cambridge, NE.

Patsie Lee "Pat" was born in Stockville Nebraska on November 11, 1936, to Richard T."Dick"and Willamina Marie (Arent) Owens. She lived in Stockville for several years attending school there before moving to Curtis. Pat married Edward Gardner on September 25, 1955, to this union three children were born, Catherine Ann, Richard Dean, and James Edward.

On February 5, 1971, Patsie married Russell Wood at Stockville, NE. They lived in Curtis for a short time and employment took them to 26 different cities in 9 years, moving back to NE in 1981, they lived in the Stockville.

Pat (Grammy) loved the outdoors, golfing, gardening, camping, biking, sewing and her grandchildren. She loved cooking, and when we had a family get together like the Annual Arent Reunion, you could always count on getting some of her "Cherry Cheesecake". She enjoyed "I Love Lucy", Stockville Fair", collecting all sorts of frogs. She was a member of the Stockville Womens Club serving the community. In 1987 they moved to a residence in Indianola, NE. Pat liked to help others doing housekeeping for many shut-ins. She was employed by Lords Inc. of Indianola for approximately 15 years as custodian.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents, son: Richard D."Rick" Gardner; sister: Shirley Owens; brother: Harold Owens, and sister-in-law: Adella Meredith.

She is survived by husband: Russell of Cambridge; daughter: Cathy (Steve) Wichman of Randolph; son: Jim (Marsha) of Farnam; daughter-in-law: Karen Jean Gardner of Wauneta; brother: John C. (Bernita) Owens of Stockville; sister-in-laws: Mary Owens of Hill City, SD; Barbara (Tom) Lefdal-Walsh, Sioux Falls, SD, brother-in-laws: Dewain R. "Woody" (Caroline) Wood, Golden, CO; William R."Bill" Wood, Sioux Falls, SD; 8 Grandkids: Trevor (Brooke) Nelson; Mandy (Tyler) Carlson; Jason (Becky) Gardner; Brad Hall; Jaron Dempcy and fianc Michala Allen; Michael Gardner; Daniel (Tori) Gardner; Renae Kay Gardner and friend Devin Watkins: 7 great grandkids: Terrance; Jazlyn; Benji; Sam; Tatum; Peyton Nelson; Jarrett Gardner.

Services will be Friday, August 14 at 10:30 AM at the Lockenour-Jones Mortuary, 604 Penn, Cambridge, NE Bill Weaver officiating. Inurnment will be at 3:00 PM at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, NE

Memorials have been established to Cambridge Senior Center and Tri-Valley Health Foundation, which may be left with Lockenour-Jones Mortuary,
