Patricia Lucinda Peters

Patricia L. Peters, age 70 of McCook, NE , died on June 7, 2013. She was born in McCook,NE to P. V. and Verna June (McGraw) Hays. She attended St. Patricks Catholic Schools and graduated from McCook High School in 1961. Pat went to McCook College for one year. On September 15, 1962 she was united in marriage to Mike Peters in McCook. The couple celebrated their 50th Anniversary last September. Pat was a member of the St. Patricks Catholic Church of McCook. Pat enjoyed gardening, movies and reading. She volunteered her work as a floral designer at Wescamp Floral. Pat was an excellent cook, even though she didnt enjoy it. She was known for her coconut cream pies, crme puffs and many more delicious recipes. Her family came first, she enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren. The family would travel to Colorado to Estes Park for family vacations and to other places to spend time together. Pat was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Mike , 3 sons: Brian and wife Ginger of Albia, IA, Darren and Rachael of McCook; Kevin and wife Shannon of Jacksonville, FL; 3 daughters: Jodi and husband Chad Baker of Lincoln, NE; Lori and husband Jim Ruggles of McCook; Lisa and husband Josh Beideck of McCook; 16 grandchildren; a brother: Rodney and wife Judy Hays of Omaha; 1 sister: Kathy and husband Kim Strayer of Omaha, NE and a special cousin: Dianne Tietze of Lincoln. Rosary will be recited at the Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook on Monday, June 10, 2013 at 7:30 PM and a memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 10:30 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in McCook, NE with Father Gary Brethaur officiating.
