Nicholas Lee Keller

Nicholas Lee Keller, age 64, of Trenton passed away at the Community Hospital of McCook on Monday, October 29, 2018. He was born on February 25, 1954 in McCook, NE to Donald and Angulia Y. (Thompson) Keller. Nick attended and graduated from Trenton High School in 1972. He continued his education attending Central Community College in North Platte where he received a degree in Diesel Mechanics. After college he started a career with Nebraska Machinery in North Platte before returning home to Trenton to continue work in the mechanical service field and aid with the family farm south of town. He was married to Karen Cuellar in July of 1985 and they had one son, Jacob, in October of 1988. Nick continued in the family farming and cow-calf operation up until his death. He was one that thoroughly enjoyed the country and small town lifestyle. He had a knack and knowledge for all things mechanical and never ceased to be tinkering with or have some project in progress. Nick was preceded in death by his mother, Angulia; paternal grandparents, Mary and Vern Keller and maternal grandparents, Mable and Jim Thompson. He is survived by his son, Jake Keller of Rock Rapids, IA; father, Donald Keller of Trenton; and sister, Mary and husband, Bill Kennedy, of Eagle, CO. There will be a Celebration of Life event held at the TCDC in Trenton on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. to enjoy a meal and share memories. In keeping with Nicks wishes he chose cremation and a private family service.
