Naomi Thacker

Naomi Ruth Thacker, age 87, passed away at the El Dorado Manor in Trenton, NE, on July 21, 2022. She was born in New Castle, IN, on March 21, 1935, to James Isaac and Anna Elizabeth (Ford) Warren. In her younger years Naomis family moved to Colorado and later to Culbertson. Naomi was wed to Jessie Wade Thacker. To this union one son was born, Cecil Eugene Thacker. Naomi made her home in McCook until her health caused her to move to El Dorado Manor three years ago. Naomi loved to be around family and especially children. She was a member of the McCook Baptist Church. Naomi enjoyed playing cards, pinochle, pitch, along with Chinese Checkers. Naomi had a big heart, and would send greeting cards, birthday cards and cards for all occasions to people which usually included a two-dollar bill. She loved her cats. She was known for her fried chicken. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Anna; infant sister, Martha; brother, James D. Thacker. Naomi is survived by her sister, Rachel and John Miller of McCook, NE; son, Cecil Eugene Thacker of Larned, KS, and a host of family and friends. Funeral services for Naomi Thacker will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at 11:00 AM at the McCook Baptist Church with Pastors Walter Ray, Lloyd Bley, and Ted Long officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 PM graveside in the Culbertson Cemetery. Friends may leave online condolences at herrmannfh.com. Memorials may be left in Naomis name to the McCook Baptist Church.
