Milton 'Bob' Johnson

Milton "Bob" Johnson age 82, formerly of Holbrook, NE passed away at Bryan Lincoln General Hospital on Saturday, November 4, 2017. He was born in Lewiston, Montana to Robert L and Grace L. (Berundt) Johnson. Bob spent most of his early years in Montana. He joined United States Air Force on January 3, 1952 and was Honorably discharged on December 18, 1955. He was stationed in Alaska. Bob was married to Evelyn Cline and she preceded him in death in 2004. Bob lived in Denver for a period, moving to Holbrook, NE later. During his life Bob worked many jobs. He was particularly keen to antiques and enjoyed having his antique business. He was a collector of "junk". Bob retired from his business when the "internet shopper" caused traffic to stop coming into his store. He was a man of many talents and could build and fix nearly anything put before him. He loved tinkering in his shops, from doing wood work to metal work and more. He even built the home he lived in in Holbrook. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and wife Evelyn. He is survived by his loving companion: Betty Pohl of McCook and all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, sister: Kay of Altoona, PA. Visitation will be held at the Lockenour-Jones Mortuary Chapel in Cambridge on Thursday, November 9, 2017, from 10:00 am till 7:00 pm, with family present from 5 7 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 1:30 pm with Pastor Richard Karr officiating. Interment will be in the Holbrook Cemetery. Military Honors will be performed at graveside. Memorial maybe left in Bobs name at the Lockenour-Jones Mortuary. Lockenour-Jones Mortuary entrusted with arrangements.
