     MiHeCha McConnell passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025 in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was born on January 10, 1940 in Seoul, South Korea. She married Larry Elvin McConnell in 1970 in Seoul. Larry preceded her in death in January 1972. She is survived by their daughter, Julia Ann, son-in-law Kenneth L. Krenk, and grandson Spencer Reid McConnell Krenk.

     MiHeCha went to school through the fourth grade. Her father put her on a train to Pusan where she could stay with her aunt in safety, when Seoul was threatened by the spread of the Korean war. After the war, she was reunited with her father. She obtained work at a local cookie factory. She met her future husband in Seoul, while he was stationed in Korea. He returned to the states with the promise to return to Korea to marry her. He sent love letters and eventually made good on his promise in 1970. After marrying at the embassy in Seoul, the couple returned to the US and started life off in Lebanon, Nebraska. Their daughter was born in May 1971.

     MiHeCha eventually settled in Arapahoe, Nebraska where she lived until 2017 when she moved to Lincoln, NE to be near her daughter.

     Private family burial will take place in the Lebanon Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at lockenour.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lockenour-Jones Mortuary of Cambridge.
