Mary O Keller

Mary O. (Jones) Keller age 103 of Trenton passed away at the McCook Community Hospital on February 27, 2015. She was born on January 4, 1912 in Trenton to John J. and Gertrude (Leighton) Jones. Mary went to country school District 28 and graduated from Trenton High School with the class of 1928. She was the Valedictorian of her class and received a 4 year scholarship to Nebraska Teachers College in the amount of $37.50 per year which covered tuition and fees. Mary was a longtime member of the United Church of Christ in Trenton and was active in its programs in her younger years. In the later years she was involved in the Billy Graham Ministries. She was married to Vern D. Keller on January 8, 1930. To this union one son, Donald K. Keller was born. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband Vern in 1987; sisters: Ada Pratt; Morva Powell; brothers: Everett and Merle Jones and a niece: Mary Jane Knocke She is survived by her son: Don and wife Angulia Keller of Trenton; grandson: Nick Keller of Trenton; granddaughter: Mary and husband Bill Kennedy of Eagle, Colorado; great-grandson: Jacob Keller and wife Jessica of Jamestown, N.D.; nephew: John Jones and nieces: Barbara Martin; Nancy Bert; Jean Kiggens and Kay Vines. Visitation will be held at the Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel on Tuesday from 9: AM till 7 PM. The Family will greet friends from 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM.
