Mary Ellen Carroll

Mary Ellen Carroll, age 74, of McCook passed away on Tuesday May 19, 2020, at the Hillcrest Nursing Home. She was born in McCook, NE on July 1, 1945 to Earl and E. Lorene Carroll. Mary Ellen worked several years in McCook as a beautician. She enjoyed taking her nieces and nephews to the park, feeding the ducks, and going to movies, especially the drive-in movies. She enjoyed crocheting hats, scarfs, and afghans for all the babies she knew. For years she and her nephew Keaton (when in town) would deliver the paper to the residents at the nursing home. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Lorene Carroll; sisters, Donna Jean, and Juanita Weber; two brothers, Richard Carroll and Leonard Carroll; and brother-in-law, Darrel Malleck. She is survived by two sisters, Lois Malleck of Amarillo, TX and Nancy and husband, Bud Boyer, of Overland Park, KS; sister-in-law, Claudia Carroll of Youngstown, FL; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Graveside services are pending and will be announced later. May the souls of all the faithfully departed, through the mercy of God, rest in Peace. Amen.
