Marvin Riley

Marvin Riley, age 78, of Indianola, NE, passed away at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE, Wednesday, April 20, 2022. He was born on August 13, 1943, to Gilbert and Vonnie (Duncan) Riley in Pawhuska, OK. The family moved to Nebraska where Marvin graduated from McCook High School in 1962. In 1967, Marvin married Ruth Klinzeman and to this union two sons were born, Brent and Brice. On November 23, 1984, he married Shirley Allen in Indianola. Marvin was employed at McCook Pack, hauling to New York, also, working for Parker Hannifin for over 30 years in the warehouse. After he retired, he drove a truck for Ryan Peters and Morgan Mud. He enjoyed woodworking in his spare time. He and Shirley belonged to the Good Sam Club and enjoyed traveling, visiting family and winter trips to Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Vonnie; brother, Charles (Vivian) Riley; sons, Robert Boen and Michael Boen; great-granddaughter, Azalea Boen. Marvin is survived by his, wife, Shirley Riley; sons, Brent (Ronda) Riley, Brice (Gina) Riley; daughter, Belinda (Jim) Baxter; 15 grandchildren, Brian Riley, Dustin Riley, Kristin Clapp, Zack Riley, Emily Riley, Melissa(Jedd)Flower, Matt (Brooke)Franklin, Adam Baxter, Andrew Baxter, Anthony (Monique) Baxter, Amanda Baxter, Melony (Eric) Patton, Jesse (Sarah) Boen, Jonathan (JoAnna) Boen, Justin (Desiree) Boen; 17 great grandchildren; daughters-in-law, LaDonna Boen, Annette Boen; sisters, Cleta (Gene) Baumfaulk, Sharon (Neal) Meints; many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at 10:00 AM at the Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 25, 2022, at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel from 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM. The family will be present to greet friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
