Marvin Dean Janeski July 3, 1933 July 30, 2016 McCook, Neb. - Marvin Dean Janeski, 83, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016, at El Dorado Manor in Trenton. He was born July 3, 1933, at Brady, Neb., to Edward and Ruby (Hoaglund) Janeski. He attended school at Brady, Neb. and after graduating from high school he attended the University Of Nebraska School Of Agriculture in Curtis, Neb. receiving a degree in Animal Nutrition and Accounting. He developed a Registered Polled Hereford Herd, served as Secretary-Manager of the Nebraska Polled Hereford Association, was Livestock Field Editor of the Wyoming Stockman Farmer Magazine for 13 years, while conducting purebred livestock auctions across America. He retired from Farmland Industries, Inc. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Brady, Neb, Greeley-Evans Moose Lodge 909, Greeley Senior Mens Golf League, National Society of Accounts, National Auctioneers Association, lifetime honorary member of U.S. Jaycees, National Pilots Association and the Civil Air Patrol. Dean was a very avid baseball player and played games in Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri. He loved playing golf, watching sports and spending time with his family and his friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Ruby Janeski; two sisters Shirley Snyder and Nadine Liljestrand; one brother, Darrell Janeski, infant son; Alan Dean Janeski and great grandson Hunter Joseph Roberson. Dean is survived by his four children, daughter, Linda Babcock (Special Friend Leigh Real) of McCook, Neb., daughter Betty (David) Tolle of Maxwell, Neb., son Wayne Janeski of Fort Collins, Colo., and son Marty Janeski of Cheyenne, Wyo., his sister, Beverly (Dave) Kitzing of Lexington, Neb. and his brother, Don (Mary) Janeski of Independence Missouri. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be Thursday, August 11, 2016, beginning at 11:00 a.m., at the United Methodist Church in Brady with Pastor Dave Davidson officiating. Burial will be in the Gaslin Cemetery in Brady. Memorials may be given in his name. Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial Service
