Marian Louise Copeland

Marian Louise (Allen) Moore Copeland entered the arms of Jesus On April 13th, 2020. She was the 1932 New Years baby born to James and Nellie (Easton) Allen in Furnas County, NE. On June 4, 1950 she married her sweetheart Harold Moore of Bartley, NE. They enjoyed 64 years together farming in the Bartley community and raising their 5 children. Harold passed away on July 23, 2014. Marian remarried on October 18, 2015 to Vernon Copeland. Marian loved to bake and is well known for her rolls, banana bread, and chocolate chip cookies. She also enjoyed painting, collecting pigs, crocheting, reading, history, Tupperware and spoiling her grand and great grandchildren. She had a strong faith in Jesus and a huge heart for people. Her granddaughter Kyla said, "She never saw a stranger but an opportunity." Proceeded in death by her parents; her first husband, Harold Moore; second husband, Vernon Copeland; brother, Richard Allen; sisters, Barbara Durner and Jean Allen; brothers-in-law, Raymond Durner, Wayne Moore, Marvin Wymore, and Eldon Durner; sisters-in-law, MayAnn Allen, Barbara Wymore, and Hazel Durner. Left to honor her life sons, Lonnie (Claire) Moore of Ceresco, NE and David (Marilyn) Moore of Funk, NE; daughters, Nancy (Rod) Smith of North Platte, NE, Peggy (Roger) Webb of Billings, MT, and Michelle (Tim) Lytle of McCook, NE; Grandchildren, Krystal (Robert) Emineth, Kelly (Ryan) Jenkins, Madison Moore, Layne (Samantha) Moore, Eden Moore, Renelle (Brad) Hartzog, Melissa (Adam) Fitzgarrold, Kassie (Brandon) Reeh, Kaylee Moore, Wyatt (Julie) Smith, Kady Smith, Kyla Smith, Karissa (Christopher) Johnson, Tanner (Emily) Lytle, and Tenielle (Barto) Yelkouni; Great Grandchildren, Connor, Matthew, Thresa, Alivia, Landon, Jocelyn, Maddax, Liam, Dexter, Harper, Stella, Kate, Noah, Temperance, Freedom, Briella, Lilya, and Felicity; Brother, Jerry Allen; Sisters, Pauline (Gordon) Gaasch and Marilyn (Darrell) Rowan; Brother-in-law, Stan (Cindy) Moore; Sisters-in-law, Margaret Allen, JoAnn (Glenn) De Vries, and Norma Wymore; and a host of family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to two of Marians granddaughters who are missionaries. Kady Smith serving in Brazil (Brazil Gospel Fellowship Mission PO Box 355 Springfield, IL 62705-0355 to account of Kady Smith) or Tenielle and Barto Yelkouni serving in Burkina Faso, West Africa (Shepherds Way PO Box 914 McCook, NE 69001). Visitation will be Friday, April 17, 2020, 10:00 a.m. 7:00 p.m. at Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel, McCook. Please keep in mind, due to the COVID pandemic we are only allowed 10 people at a time during the visitation. Friends may go online at www.herrmannfh.com to extend words of comfort to the family. Private family graveside service will be held Saturday, April 18, 2020, at the Bartley Cemetery, Bartley, NE. The family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date.
