Marguerite 'Peggy' Louise Kinkade

Marguerite Louise "Peggy" Kinkade passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at El Dorado Manor in Trenton. She was 91 years old. Peggy was born on April 11, 1925 at Cambridge to parents, Charles W. and Hazel (Smith) Kelly. The family moved to Boulder where Peggy graduated from High School. Peggy accepted a job in McCook as a secretary for the Bureau of Reclamation. Peggy met and would later marry David Allen Kinkade on June 18, 1950 at Boulder, Colorado. To this union a son, Kelly, was born. Peggy was a busy mother, homemaker, and continued to work at the Bureau until her retirement. Peggy was a member of the St. Albans Episcopal Church where she had served on the Altar Guild. She was also a member of the McCook Business and Professional Womens Association where she served as President for a time. She loved to spend time in the mountains, fishing, going to the lake and working in her garden especially her roses. David and Peggy enjoyed time spent with family and friends playing cards and board games. She adored her grandsons especially the times spent with them baking cookies and making memories. Preceding her in death was her parents, Charles and Hazel Kelly; and husband, David Kinkade. Survivors include her son, Kelly Kinkade and wife, Kathy, of McCook; grandsons, Daniel Kinkade and his daughter, Jayda, of McCook and Brian Kinkade and wife, Jackie, and their children, Macy and Nick of Omaha; and sister, Sherrie and husband, Red Siders, of Denver, CO; numerous family and a host of friends. Memorials may be given in her name. A gathering of family and friends to share memories and fellowship will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel, McCook, NE. A private family inurnment will be held at a later time. Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel of McCook is in charge of the arrangements.
