Cambridge- Margaret Pearl Brown passed away at the Cambridge Manor on August 16, 2016 at the age of 92. She was born October 26, 1923 to Jens R. and Pearl (Parks) Holtze on the family farm south of Wilsonville. Margaret attended Middle Rockton School through 8th grade and graduated from Wilsonville High School in 1941. After graduation, she taught in rural schools for several years. On May 27, 1945, Margaret was united in marriage to Forrest Dean Brown at her family farm in rural Wilsonville. To this union three children were born, Deanna Pearl, Daryl Leroy and Gary Dean. Margaret was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a homemaker. Margaret was also a 4H leader when her children were young. She was a member of the Baptist-Christian Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of Union Vets and IHO (I Help Others). Margaret was an avid reader and served on the Library Board in Wilsonville. Margaret was very proud of her family and loved spending time with them. She enjoyed attending the activities of her grandchildren and great grandchildren over the years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jens and Pearl Holtze; her husband Dean Brown; her brother James Holtze and wife Velma; brother-in-law Darrell Brown; brother-in-law Roland Brown and wife LaVonne; nephews Tommy Brown and Rodger Holtze and niece Margene Holtze. She is survived by her daughter Deanna and husband Robert Propes of McCook; two sons, Daryl and wife Melody Brown of Cambridge and Gary and wife Karen Brown of Wilsonville; sister Eula Brown of Beaver City; eight grandchildren, Scott and wife Kristina Propes, Anita and husband John Foley, Ben and wife Mandy Brown, Lucas and wife Stephanie Brown, Samantha and husband Ryan Jones, Nick and wife Amy Brown, Alicia and husband Dawson Moody and Dr. Brittany Brown and husband Adam Sevenker; 16 great grandchildren, Addison, Braden and Macy Jones; Riley, Maya and Kellen Brown; Ellie, Austin, Grace, Ashton, and Madison Brown; Brighton and Dylan Foley; Augie Propes; Chase Brown; Sawyer Moody; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday August 20, 2016 at the Baptist-Christian Church in Wilsonville. with Keith Theobald officiaitng. Burial to follow in Hendley Cemetery. Memorials may be given in Margarets name to the Wilsonville Library.
