Louise Keenan

Louise Keenan was born on January 30, 1934 in Hagerstown, Maryland to LeRoy and Lottie Viola (Byrum) Friese. She graduated from high school and later in life continued her education in pursuit of being a registered nurse. Louise married Marion Domer in 1949 in West Virginia. The couple moved to Denver, Colorado where Louise was employed at Gates Rubber Company, Mercy Hospital as a registered nurse, and at the Van Dyke Company as a switchboard operator. In 1963, Louise was united in marriage to William Keenan. Louise was a member of the Animal Rescue Foundation. She loved her garden and was always looking for a treasure or a great deal at area garage sales, thrift shops, and auctions. Louise enjoyed time spent with family and she was a loving and proud grandmother and great-grandmother. Louise was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away at her home in Palisade early Saturday morning, September 16, 2023. She was 89 years of age. She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Ronnie and Donny Domer; husband, William Keenan; daughter, Anna Walker; grandson, Christian Acosta; as well as her sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Robert Allen. Survivors include her children: Judy (Phillip) Ingersoll of Alaska, Michael (Sandy McKay) Keenan of Palisade, Nebraska, Chrystene (Shawn) Cole of Trenton, Nebraska, Tina (James) Lund of Palisade, Nebraska, and Patrick Keenan of Omaha, Nebraska; 53 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10AM on Saturday morning, September 23, 2023 at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel of McCook with Pastor Alisa Parde officiating. Committal services will follow at 1PM in the Palisade Cemetery, Palisade, Nebraska Memorials can be left to the family of Louise Keenan for future designation.
