Lorene Mae Skilling

Lorene Mae Skilling, age 84, formerly of Wichita, KS passed away at her home in McCook, Nebraska on October 31, 2015. She was born in Portis, KS on May 23, 1931 to Plano and Martha (Lamb) Conrad. She spent over 40 years of her life in Wichita but also lived in Beloit as well as other Kansas towns. Lorene enjoyed exercise classes at the YMCA. She was active in the Jimmy Swaggert Ministries and Evangelization. Her main interest was that of her family. She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey J. Vandenberg; husband, Charles Skilling, Sr.; sisters, Vonda Willcoxin and Freeda Stout; and two brothers, Hubert Conrad and Herbert Conrad. Lorene is survived by her four daughters, Linda Grubb of Derby, KS; Beverly and husband, Pat Garboden of Katy, TX, Laura and husband, John Murphy, of Wichita, KS, and Darlene and husband Claud Redden of McCook, NE; 15 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren-1 great-great grandchild. Visitation will be Thurs. Nov. 5, 2015 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm. with graveside services following at 2pm at Lakeview Cemetery, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita, KS.
