Lillie Zaelece Coleman of McCook, NE passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Tri Valley Health System Hospital in Cambridge, NE. She was 89 years old. Lillie was born at Sparks, Oklahoma on November 17, 1927, to parents Robert Lee and Ethel Chloe (Wallis) Rich. She graduated from Prague High School, Prague, OK. On August 6, 1946 she was united in marriage to Charles Y. Coleman. Together they raised four children. The family moved quite often due to the oil business, living in Oklahoma, Colorado, Wyoming, North Dakota, eventually settling in McCook, NE. Lillie was a busy homemaker and mother but was also an integral part of the business keeping the books for the company. Lillie was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church and volunteered with the Helping Hand Thrift Store. She loved to bowl and golf and participated in both leagues. Charlie and Lillie often attended dances and especially enjoyed polka dancing. She was an avid Nebraska Husker and Oklahoma Sooner fan. Preceding her in death were her parents, Robert and Ethel Rich; her husband, Charles Y. Coleman; three sisters, Pauline Fennel, Helen French, Mildred Smith, and two brothers Bobby Leroy Rich and Gordon Rich. Survivors include her daughters, Paula and husband Donald "Bert" Harris of Opelika, AL, Ella "Marlene" and husband Edgar Carnell Carter of Thackerville, OK; sons, Charles R. Coleman and wife Christina, Jeff Coleman and wife, Sharlyn, all of McCook; and sister, Jean Pantlik of Bartlesville, OK; nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Memorials may be given in her name to Tri Valley Health System Hospital Foundation or the McCook Fox Theatre (AEVPA). Visitation will be Friday, September 8, 2017 at Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The family will be present from 5:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m. to greet friends. Funeral service will be Saturday, September 9, 2017, 10:00 a.m. at Memorial United Methodist Church in McCook with Pastor Jeff Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
