Lance Jording

Lance Richard Jording of Cambridge, NE formerly of Herndon, KS passed away on Wednesday May 27, 2026 in Cambridge. He was 62 years old.

Lance was born on August 21,1963 at Oberlin, KS to Clayton Lynn and Sharon Sue (Gilbert) Jording. He graduated from Trenton High School in 1982. He enjoyed sports while in school. He went on to further his college education at UNK in, Kearney, NE and UNL in Lincoln, NE.

Lance enjoyed a short time in modeling and established a successful construction business in Seattle, WA and Phoenix, AZ, along with being a pilot-car driver for oversized loads. Lance was married to and divorced from Denise Greer of Washington, and then to Garinee whom he had three children with: Colton, Gabriella, and Ariana all of Arizona.

Lance was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; uncles, Phil Law and Duane Jording and aunt, Cheryl and husband, Carl Adams; mother, Sharon Frick and stepfather, Laverne Frick and his brother, Kent Jording.

Survivors include his father, Clayton Jording of Medford, OR; three children Colten, Gabriella, and Ariana Jording of AZ; half-brothers, Trevor Frick of Denver, CO and Kyle Frick of Kansas; half-sister, Amy Jording of Myrtle Creek, OR; companion and caregiver Dawn Burke of Cambridge, NE; aunts, Marj Guinn of Colorado and Gwen Gilbert of Nebraska; as well as several cousins and extended family.

Cremation has been chosen and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
