Lainey Rea Marie Haarberg

Lainey Rea Marie Haarberg, infant daughter of Keagan and Brittany (Hixon) Haarberg of McCook passed through Heaven’s gates and into Jesus’ arms on Saturday morning, July 5, 2025.

Lainey was born in McCook, Nebraska on June 9, 2025. She was greeted at home by the love of her siblings Cooper, Axel, Paisley and Rylee. And even though her brothers and sisters could be a little busy and loud, it never stopped Lainey from falling asleep. Family could tell that Lainey loved spending time outside with her parents and siblings. Her smile was contagious when the sunlight warmed her face and fresh air touched her skin!

Gone too soon, but Lainey Rea Marie Haarberg will live on forever in each and every heart she touched in her short time here on Earth. Those that loved her the most include her parents, Keagan and Brittany; siblings, Cooper, Axel, Paisley and Rylee; grandparents: Nana, Tracy Hixon and Brian Nielsen, Papa, Tim Hixon and Mamaw, Lilah Hixon, Grandma, Chelsea Haarberg and Papa, Doug Eskew and Grandpa, Joseph Torres; Great-grandmothers, Sharon Haarberg, Lynett Staples and Suzanne Nielsen; as well as a large extended family and countless family friends.

She was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Jerry and Mary Crawford, Doyle Hixon and Lavon Haarberg and great-aunt, Nena Hixon.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14

Cremation was chosen and memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 AM on Saturday morning, July 12, 2025 at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook with Pastor Jeremy LaBrie providing words of comfort. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
