Korrine Rowland

     Korrine Jane Rowland (Clark), age 81, of McCook, Nebraska, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, April 5, 2026, surrounded by her loving children.

     Korrine was born on June 16, 1944, in McCook, Nebraska, at St. Catherine’s Hospital to Bernice (Heskett) and Robert Clark. She was born alongside her twin sister, Karen Jean (Clark), with whom she shared a lifelong bond. Korrine spent part of her school years in McCook before her family moved to Fort Morgan, Colorado. During that time, she stayed busy with many activities she loved, including riding horses and spending time with her cherished sister. Later, she returned to McCook, which she proudly called home.

     After high school, Korrine attended beauty school and worked as a hairdresser. She took great pride in doing hair for friends and family, building lasting relationships along the way. She also worked at various businesses in McCook, including Wal-Mart, until her retirement.

     On a blind date, Korrine met her future husband, Don Rowland. The two were married on June 13, 1965, beginning more than 50 years of life together. From this union, three children were born: Josh, Lynn, and Tom. Korrine devoted herself to caring for her family, always keeping busy with their many activities.

     She enjoyed fishing and camping with her family and had a lifelong love for Elvis Presley. Above all, Korrine treasured time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her family.

     Korrine was preceded in death by her husband, Don Rowland; her parents, Robert and Bernice Clark; and her brother-in-law, Fred Gammel.

     She is survived by her children: Josh (Sheri) Rowland, Lynn Rowland, and Tom (Tina) Rowland; 11 grandchildren: Benjamin, Abigail, Samuel, and Harrison (children of Josh and Sheri), Tyler, Elora, Matthew, and Landon (children of Lynn), and Kylie, Kennedy, and Luke (children of Tom and Tina); six great-grandchildren: Nathanial, Layla, Rayne, Rosemary, TJ, and Aaliyah; her twin sister, Karen Gammel (Clark); nieces Shelly, Kora, and Debbie; and many extended family members.

     Cremation has been chosen. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook, Nebraska. Inurnment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in McCook.
