Kenneth "Kenny" E. Priddy, 65, of Stratton, passed away on December 27, 2021, in McCook. Kenny was born January 23, 1956, in Stratton to David and Lorraine (Jessen) Priddy, the youngest of three children. He attended high school at Stratton, graduating with the class of 1975. It was the summer of 1973, in Benkelman, that he met the love of his life, Florence Jensen. The two were United in marriage at the Methodist Church in Max on August 13, 1976. To this union, four children were born: Kimberly, Teresa, Nathan, and Keith. During high school, and until the time of their closing in 1981, he worked at Miller Mfg. in Stratton. He then worked for Pixie Pals Kennel with Florence in Stratton where he cultivated his passion for dogs and breeding. This eventually spawned the idea to open Wishing Star Kennels. He then worked for Dayco, now Parker Hannifin in McCook until cancer forced his early retirement in 2019. Kenny enjoyed animals and the outdoors. He loved to hunt, fish, raise rabbits and breed dogs. His kids and grandkids have memories of fishing on grandpas boat, many times at Swanson Lake. Hunting was also a big part of Kennys life, making many trips with family and friends around southwestern Nebraska and near Calamus. Proud member of the NRA, Ducks Unlimited, and the American Coon Hunters Association; Kenny hunted everything: coons, deer, coyotes, pheasants, or waterfowl, it was all fair "game". He was preceded in death by His Parents; Sister Kay and Brother-in-law Larry "Buck" Hill, as well as his Father-in-law Harold Jensen. Left to cherish Kennys memory are his Loving Wife of 45 years, Florence; Daughters Kim Priddy (fianc Eric Morris) and Teresa (Adam) Switzer; Sons Nathan (Amber) and Keith Priddy; Grandchildren Allison Priddy (Joseph Peck), David, Ella and Alfred Switzer, Asher, and Harlow Priddy; Sister Kathy (Chuck) Mallicoat; Mother-in-law Daisy Jensen; Brothers and Sister-in-law Jim, John and Susan Jensen; Longtime friend Shawn Havlicek, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
