Kenneth Petersen

Kenneth Jay Petersen was born on June 22, 1961 in Stratton, Nebraska to Merwin and Kay (Williamson) Petersen. Ken attended school in McCook and graduated from McCook High School. In his youth, he enjoyed dirt bikes and motorcycles. Ken spent his entire life in Southwest Nebraska, working for many area farmers.

Kenneth Petersen passed away at his home in Stratton, Nebraska on April 19, 2025. He was 63 years of age.

Those that have preceded him in death include his parents, Merwin "Mert" Petersen and Kay Baudier.

He is survived by his brother, Michael Petersen and wife, Joni of Stratton; sister, Debra Duba and husband, Harvey of Rockland, Idaho; as well as a large extended family including many loved nieces and nephews.

Cremation was chosen and graveside services are scheduled for Saturday morning, May 10, 2025 at the Culbertson Cemetery.
