Kenneth Eugene Ely

Kenneth Eugene Ely of McCook passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Community Hospital. He was 76 years old. Kenneth was born January 4, 1940 at McCook to parents, Orin P. and Opal T.(Troedson) Ely. He graduated from McCook High School in 1958. He worked for Jewell Company until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and feeding the ducks and geese in Barnett Park. He liked walking and most days you could see him around town. Preceding him in death was his parents, Orin and Opal Ely; brothers, Curtis and Wayne Ely; and sisters, Doris Stewart, Margaret Verraneault, and Elaine Waterman. Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Lesia (Brian) Forsyth of Joshua Tree, CA; brother, Roger Ely and wife, Karen, of McCook; sister-in-law, Laverna Ely of McCook; numerous nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
