Kenneth Leroy Bradley

Kenneth Leroy Bradley, age 85, passed away July 10th, 2018 in McCook, Nebraska. He was born in Culbertson, Nebraska on October 16th, 1932 to Harold and Goldie (Matson) Bradley. He was raised in Culbertson until 1953, when his family moved to McCook. Kenneth worked as a painter all of his life, starting as a family business with his father and brothers, but eventually branched out on his own. Kenneth was united in marriage on May 30th, 1954 to Betty Jean Lankford. To this union, two children were born; Keith Edward and Brenda Jean. Kenneths interests included golfing, fishing, and hunting. He loved baseball and was a pitcher for McCooks Semi-pro team continuing his love for baseball, he coached Little League for many years. He loved to follow his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildrens events. He was an avid fan of all Husker and Bison sports. Kenneth was a member of the First Baptist Church and was baptized on October 26, 1958. Kenneth was active in his church serving on various boards including, Trustee, Deacon, Superintendent of Sunday School to name a few. Kenneth is preceded in death by parents, Harold and Goldie; brother, Jerry Lee Bradley; step- grandchild, David Rothmeyer; mother and step-father-in-law, Vera and Lou Meissner; father-in-law, Noel Lankford; brother-in-law, Floyd Lankford; and niece, Sherry Feist. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty Jean Bradley; son, Keith (Ruth) Bradley; daughter, Brenda (Doug) Dame; grandchildren, Cody (Amanda) Dame and Lindsey Dame; and great-grandchildren, Natalie Dame, Aspen Dame, Brett Fraker, and step-great-grandson, Joseph Rothmeyer all of McCook; step-grandchildren, Steve (Sherri) Rothmeyer of McCook, NE, Judy (Joe) Haverland of Perham, MN, Deborah (Jim) Rice of Caneadia, NY, and Jacquelyn Rothmeyer of Albuquerque, NM; numerous step-great-grandchildren; brother, Donald H. (Glenda) Bradley; sister-in-law, Janet Bradley; brother-in-law, James Lankford all of McCook; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. A special thanks to his two nieces both of Omaha, Stacie Lankford for her care while he was at Bryan LGH and Tammy Decker for the visit and meal while there. Also, the family would like to thank Roger and Linda Dame for taking Betty to Lincoln while Kenneth was in the hospital. Memorials may be given in his name. Visitation will be Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel from 9:00 a.m. 7:00 p.m. with family present to greet friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Friday, July 13, 2018, 10:00 a.m., at Grace Baptist Church, formerly First Baptist Church, McCook with Dave Davidson and Mike Roth officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel of McCook entrusted with arrangements.
