Judy Ann Weintz

Judy Ann Weintz was born on November 7, 1941 in McCook, Nebraska to Hubert Phillip and Mary Elizabeth (Cox) Vodehnal. She attended school in McCook and graduated from McCook High School in 1960. Judy was united in marriage to Ralph Burdette Weintz at the Methodist Church in McCook on May 26, 1960. Judy and Ralph raised two sons in McCook, Phillip and Allen. Judy was a hard worker. She cleaned house for many families in the McCook area and had very high standards for her duties. Judy kept a large garden and loved caring for her flowers. She was an amazing cook and was happy to serve her family and friends with large meals and delicious baked goods. Judys lasting legacy will be that she was a Christian and a strong woman of faith who faithfully attended church and never lost hope, even in some of the hard times that she encountered in her life. Judy passed away early Monday morning, January 22, 2024 at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook. She was 82 years of age. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph; son, Phillip; and sister, Kay Berg. Judy is survived by her son Allen Weintz and wife, Kendra of McCook; daughter-in-law, Mary (Kathy) Weintz of Culbertson; six grandchildren; beloved great-grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends. Cremation was chosen and a celebration of life service is scheduled for 10AM on Friday, January 26, 2023 at the New Life Fellowship Church in Culbertson, Nebraska. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the family of Judy Weintz for future designation. Online condolences may be left at herrmannfh.com.
