Judy Elaine Catt was born on October 5, 1943 to Glenn and Zelma (Flock) Dodson in Maywood, Nebraska. She was united in marriage to Wayne Eugene Catt on August 31, 1963 in Maywood. To this union two children were born, Kelly and Kyle.
Judy had many passions and hobbies throughout her life. She enjoyed antiquing, gardening, and horsemanship. Judy was a talented artist, leaving treasured gifts for her family in the form of her embroidery, photography, and digital scrapbooks. She was also an avid reader and a lover of music.
Judy passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at her home just south of McCook. She was 80 years of age.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Zelma Dodson; sister, Gloria Lloyd; and brother-in-law, Bill Lloyd.
Survivors include her husband, Gene of McCook; daughter, Kelly (Scott) Collins of McCook; son, Kyle (Cyndi) Catt of Lincoln; grandchildren, Tony (Maritza Santana) Weintz, Walter (Brayce Bonds) Collins, Allysa Catt, Glenn (Kayla Fitzgerald) Catt; sister, Marylin (Marvin) Henry and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 22, 2024 from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 AM on Tuesday morning, July 23, 2024 at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook with Rev. Dale Heimer officiating. Burial in the Maywood Cemetery will follow services. Pallbearers will be Brad Gillen, Chad Caldwell, Nate Caldwell, Justin Brush, Ivan Bueno, and Burke Curl. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ron Record, Greg Bieker, and Dave Foley.
