Judith Ann Anderson Keenportz of McCook passed away on Monday, June 27, 2016 at Community Hospital with her family by her side. Judith was born September 3, 1938 to Pro and Mildred (Morrill) Anderson at the family home in Jetmore, Kansas. Judy attended Jetmore schools and graduated from Jetmore High School in May of 1956. On August 15th, 1956 she was united in marriage to Lloyd B. Keenportz at the First Presbyterian Church in Jetmore, Kansas. The couple first resided in Dodge City, Kansas where Judy was active in The First Baptist Church. She was part owner of the Uniform Shop located in Dodge City, KS. In 1976 Judy moved with her family to McCook and has been a resident of McCook for the past 40 years. Judy was active in the First Baptist Church, McCook Christian Womans Club, and served 22 years on The McCook Housing Board, as a board member and chairman as needed. Judy also loved exercising every day at the YMCA. In addition she sold Home Interiors, for twenty years. The couple also owned Barbes Fishing Center at Hugh Butler Lake, where everyone grew to love and admire Judy and her family. Bud and Judy served and volunteered on numerous boards and because of their commitment to McCook they were chosen as the Honor Family of the year for the 2012 Heritage Days celebration. She was preceded in death by one son Lloyd; her parents; and one brother Jim and wife Doris Anderson of Wichita, KS. Judy is survived by four children, Brian Keith of McCook, Jon Bruce and wife, Gina, of Beaver City, NE, Rebecca Ann of McCook, Brent Wayne and wife, Tracy, of Grand Island, NE; eight grandchildren who she loved and adored Steven, Jon and wife Naomi, Zachary, Jesse and Makayla, Joshua and wife Darcie, Mekenzie, Hannah, and Myah, one great granddaughter Oliva and one great grandson Jacob. Memorials may be given in her name to the Grace Baptist Church. Visitation
